NB+C’s Fiber Division: Driving Growth and Delivering Excellence in 2024

NB+C’s Fiber Division continues to achieve significant milestones in 2024, showcasing our expertise in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and long-haul fiber design. Our focus on precision, efficiency, and teamwork has led to remarkable wins and completed projects across multiple regions.

Over the course of 2024, NB+C’s fiber services offerings have expanded to include a rapidly growing construction inspection scope for FTTH, BAU, and long-haul projects. Our inspectors have actively contributed to projects across North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Key achievements this year include the design of 117 miles of FTTH to connect over 12,600 homes in Maryland and the successful completion of 196 miles of FTTH to service 13,000 homes in North Carolina. We also completed long-haul fiber projects, totaling over 160 miles in South Carolina and 68.8 miles in Virginia, delivering critical infrastructure to support data center operations.

Our success stems from leveraging advanced technologies like 3GIS and utilizing our subject matter expertise (SME) to overcome challenges such as accurate field data collection and adhering to state design standards. By deploying shared resources across our regional offices and strategically using subcontractors, we have maintained project efficiency and consistently exceeded schedule targets.

In 2024, our Fiber Division is exceeding both sales and performance goals. Moving forward, we are focused on expanding relationships with key partners, adding more construction inspection services, and exploring new infrastructure opportunities. We will continue to enhance project efficiency, adopt new technologies, and grow our team to meet the demands of the ever-evolving fiber industry.
